Irma G. Eder, 77, passed away on Monday, Oct. 24, 2011, at the Lena Living Center in Lena.

She was born to Ernest and Edith (Atz) Williams on July 10, 1934, in Kent Township. Irma married Raymond Eder on June 30, 1953, in Lena.

She was a 1952 graduate of Winslow High School. She was a member of the former Evangelical United Brethren Church for 50 years, which is now the Orangeville United Methodist Church. Irma was also a member of the Rebeka Lodge for 40 years, the Stephenson Homemakers Association, and the Orangeville Fireman’s Auxiliary.

Irma worked for Western States Mutual Insurance from 1952 to 1953, Orangeville Veterinarian Clinic from 1972 to 1981 as a bookkeeper, from 1981 to 1997 she assisted many senior citizens by doing household chores and running errands for them, from 1989 to 1994 she operated the N.I.C.A.A. meals for seniors.

Irma received many awards, including the Community Builders Award from the Masonic Lodge, the Exemplary Christian Service Award from the Orangeville United Methodist Church, and the Certificate of Appreciation for Outstanding Volunteer Service from the N.I.C.A.A.

Irma is survived by her husband, Raymond of Orangeville; a daughter, Ramona (Ronald) Callender of Onalaska, Wis.; two grandchildren, Elizabeth (David) Kuboushek of Ridgeway, Iowa, and Ryan Callender of Salina, Kan.; a sister, Gloria (Loyal) Heid of Rockford; two brothers, Harold (Sally) Williams of Platteville, Wis., and Dale (Gloria) Williams of Monroe, Wis.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister-in-law, Corrinne Williams.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at the Cramer-Leamon Funeral Home in Orangeville.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27, at the Orangeville United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Cheon Eui and Rev. Morgan McCleland. Interment will take place at Oakland Cemetery in Freeport.

A memorial fund has been established in her name for the Orangeville United Methodist Church.
