Obituary for Matilda Jane Wubben


Matilda “Jane” Wubben, 87, of Freeport, died Sunday, December 30, 2012, at Provena St. Joseph Nursing Center.
Born July 18, 1925 in White Pigeon, Illinois she was the daughter of Geike and Anna (Wilts) Wubben.
Jane worked 18 years for Fullerton Bakery and then many years for Micro Switch Company.
She was a member of the Salvation Army.
Surviving is her son, Ronald (Debra) Wubben of Freeport; 1 sister, Dorothy Lashbrook of Red Oak; 2 grandchildren, Ronald (Jayme) Wubben of Kearney, Nebraska and Jeff (Kaarina) Wubben of Rockford; 3 step grandchildren, Deanne (Robert) Martinez of North Fort Meyers, Amanda Rillie, Jeff Rillie, both of Freeport; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 step great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers; 1 sister; and 1 great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2013 at Walker Mortuary. Burial will be at the Oakland Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
