Paul Badger, 62, passed away Tuesday, April 7th, 2015, at FHN Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born April 22nd, 1952, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Paul moved to Freeport in 1966. He is a 1970 graduate of Aquin High School and worked for 23 years at Intercity Box and Plastic Company in Freeport. He was recently employed by HB Plastics. He loved his family, his friends, football, baseball, gardening, Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and especially music. He was the lead singer for several area rock and roll bands from the 1960's to the 1990's. He s survived by his father, Gerald Badger of Delhi, Iowa; his daughter, Elyssa (Mark ) McLaughlin of Sycamore; his son, Thomas (Ashley) Badger of Yorkville; grandchildren, Addison and Maddux McLaughlin of Sycamore and Jackson Badger of Yorkville; his brother, John (Sue) Badger of Tucson, Arizana; his sister, Debra (John) Hartman and brother, Bryan Badger of Freeport; his brother, Joseph (Laura) Badger of Indiana; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Badger and four grandparents. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 11th, at Schwarz Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd., Freeport. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Oakland Cemetery in Freeport.
