Gail G. Young, 71, of Lena died Saturday, March 24, 2007 in her home. Born on September 8, 1935 in Freeport, the duaghter of Oliver and Adeline (Rosemeier) Mackert. She was a Homemaker. Gail married Richard Young on October 3, 1953 in Freeport. She was a member of Our Redemer Lutheran Church. survivors include her husband, Richard; one son Timothy (Kelley) Young of Monroe, WI.; one daughter Jackie (Mike) Kuckes of Lena; three brothers; Ronald Mackert of Freeport, Eugene Mackert of Houston, TX. and David (Thelma) Mackert of Rusk, TX.; seven grandchildren; Doug Stone, Nate Stone, Kyleigh Kuckes, Emily Kuckes, Caitlin Kuckes, Corey Young and Alyssa Young. Preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Oliver. Funeral service will be Wednesday 10:30 a.m. at Our Redeemer Luthean Church. Pastor Stephen Precht will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at Burke-Tubbs Freeport. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her name.
